Thérèse Descheemaeker - photographs

Born in Roubaix in 1955, Thérèse Descheemaeker lives and works in Lille. An exacting and passionate photographer, she makes her own silver prints on Baryte paper; superfluous details vanish, and the blacks and whites gain greater depth. Light, matter, and form are all foregrounded.
